CVDL offers first-rate appellate expertise to its clients and provides consulting to other firms seeking assistance in pursuing traditional appeals in state and federal court, as well as requests for extraordinary writs and discretionary review.

Our appellate practioners also provide strategic consultation to trial teams while their cases are pending before a trial court in order to help eliminate the need for an appeal, or to ensure that the record is best positioned for an appeal in the event of an adverse ruling.

We have particular expertise in complex state governmental litigation and in addressing difficult state and federal constitutional issues. We are recognized by our peers and the judiciary for having particularly strong analytical and advocacy skills. Collectively, our attorneys have been involved with more than 150 appeals and other appellate matters in various state and federal courts.

As a service to our fellow practicioners and to the public, CVDL maintains a blog called Missouri Supreme Court Alert that covers the Missouri Supreme Court's civil docket.
